Carol M. Shirley
Carol M. Shirley

Psychologist

Carol graduated with a Masters of Arts in School Psychology from Mount Saint Vincent University in 2000. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Carol worked as a nurse and fitness expert.

She combines her life experience and knowledge as a psychologist in a very compassionate way to support her clients. Carol successfully combines her love of mind-body connection with her traditional training. She creatively and intuitively integrates meditation, guided imagery, Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) and Reiki into her work, empowering her clients to help themselves. Enigma is Carol’s dream brought to life.

Dr. Sid Sohdi
Dr. Sid Sohdi

Psychologist

Dr. Sid Sodhi is a retired professor of counselling psychology/special education at Dalhousie University from 1970-95. He is a registered psychologist (1982) specializing in motor vehicle accidents, veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder issues and youth and adults with emotional and addiction problems. Dr. Sodhi’s other areas of interest include anxiety, depression, vocational counselling, marital counselling, grief bereavement and loneliness of seniors.

Dr. Sodhi is a genuinely caring senior psychologist with an upbeat, enthusiastic and proactive personality. He speaks Panjabi, Hindi, Urdu with multicultural clients. He helps newcomers to Canada develop cultural competencies. Dr. Sodhi helps his clients to reframe their lives with their own strengths and awaken their inner intelligence.

DR. MARC BLUMBERG

Psychologist

Dr. Marc Blumberg is a Registered Doctoral Psychologist with over 20 years experience helping adults, teens, children, and families understand and overcome difficult challenges. In addition to treating patients in private practice, Dr. Blumberg has been on staff at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, and in Miami, Florida, at the Mailman Center for Child Development, at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Blumberg has also taught a variety of graduate and undergraduate psychology courses at Universities throughout North America. He is currently adjunct faculty in the Psychology Department of Saint Marys University, where his courses have included Counselling & Psychotherapy, Behavior Problems in Children, and Adolescent Development.

Jane Boutilier
Jane Boutilier

Registered Holistic Nutritional Consultant & Reiki Master

Jane graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition with a Diploma in Natural Nutrition and was designated a Registered Holistic Nutritionist in 2004. She also holds a Certificate in Adult Education from Henson College and is a Reiki Master. Jane has worked as a nutritional consultant, a teaching assistant and in human services.

She enjoys helping others discover and resolve their nutrition concerns to promote personal healing. She also loves Reiki for the calming, peace and healing it has helped her achieve and the connection to herself and others it offers. She is looking forward to sharing both of these passions with her clients at Enigma.

Debbie Hansen
DebORAH HansOn

Reflexologist, RRT

Deborah has extensive training and graduated from the Atlantic School of Reflexology as a Registered Reflexology Therapist. She is a member of the Nova Scotia Association of Reflexology Practitioners. She has also worked in early childhood education, Montessori-based childcare and most recently as a project manager with the government for more than 20 years.

It has always been Deborah’s dream to support the health and well-being of others. She is passionate about helping her patients attain a natural state of healing without the use of drugs or invasive techniques. Deborah has had positive results treating patients with a variety of both physical and mental conditions, such as depression, sleep issues, anxiety, joint pain and alleviating the after effects of cancer treatments.

Theresa Kersey
Theresa Kersey

YogA Teacher

Theresa is trained yoga teacher and highly-sensitive intuitive, an aromatherapist and works with other modalities of energy. She is also an English as a Second Language teacher and has past experience as a chef, caterer and business owner. She enjoys travelling the world and is an active volunteer.

Through her personal healing journey, Theresa has worked to develop her own gifts and abilities to help others. She is passionate about nurturing, supporting and inspiring people along their healing journeys through yoga practice and aromatherapy.

Nanette Richardson
Nanette Richardson

Director of Finance

Nanette holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Mount Saint Vincent University and a Masters in Business Administration with a Major in Finance from Dalhousie University. She has many years of experience in both the private and public sectors.

A kind, thoughtful and compassionate person, Nanette is on her own spiritual journey and is an integral part of the day-to-day operations at Enigma.

Natalie Wilson
Natalie Wilson

Office Assistant

Natalie holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s University and a diploma from Success College. She has a diverse background in customer service and administration. In addition to her role at Enigma, Natalie also works with the government and as a Mary Kay consultant.

She loves meeting new people and enjoys being part of a supportive team that appreciates others and puts staff and clients first.

Terra Brockett
Terra Brockett

Himalayan Singing Bowl Meditation

Terra completed the Power of Awareness Mediation Training with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield at the Greatest Good Science Centre, University of California Berkeley. She is also a certified vibrational sound therapist (levels 1, 2 and 3) from Atma Buti Sound and Vibration School.

Terra offers Himalayan Singing Bowl Meditation the last Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. When played, the vibration of the bowls resonates at the same frequency as our body’s chakra system. Participants typically experience a greater sense of clarity, relaxation and groundedness.
